SMS Terms & Privacy

Last updated: October 7, 2026

This page covers text (SMS) messages sent by dataxz and by businesses using the dataxz platform. It is a companion to our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service; where this page is more specific about messaging, this page governs.

The messaging program

dataxz sends account and customer-care text messages to its own customers and to people who asked to be contacted: onboarding and account notifications, appointment reminders and confirmations, replies to inbound enquiries, and occasional service updates. We do not send marketing messages on behalf of third parties, and we do not send messages about loans, debt relief, weight loss, or cannabis-related products.

How you opt in

You opt in by submitting your phone number on a dataxz form and ticking the SMS consent box. The box is optional and unchecked by default, and it reads:

I agree to receive automated appointment and customer-care text messages from dataxz. Message frequency may vary. Consent is not a condition of purchase. Message & data rates may apply. I have read and agree to the Privacy Policy.

Ticking it is not required to submit the form, to create an account, or to receive our services — consent is never a condition of purchase, service, or transaction completion. No message is ever sent to someone who has not opted in. Each submission is stored with the phone number, email, IP address, timestamp, and consent flag, so we can show when and how consent was given.

Frequency, cost, and carriers

Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Stopping messages and getting help

Reply STOP to any message to stop receiving texts. You will get one confirmation and then no further messages. Reply HELP for help, or write to dataxz@dataxz.com. You can also ask us to remove your number at any time by replying to any message.

Your mobile number and your consent

We do not share, sell, rent, or otherwise provide mobile phone numbers or SMS opt-in/consent information to any third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Mobile numbers and consent records are used only to deliver the messages you asked for and to prove that consent was given. We share them with our messaging carrier solely to deliver your messages, and when the law requires it.

Businesses using dataxz

Businesses that use the dataxz platform to message their own customers register separately with US carriers, collect their own consent through their own forms, and remain responsible for the content of their messages. dataxz provides the platform and carrier connection, and applies the same rules above: no messages without a valid opt-in, STOP honoured immediately, and no sharing of mobile numbers or consent data for third-party marketing.
